Full social security numbers are being dropped from military ID cards to help protect against identity theft. AAFES and NEXCOM still require shoppers who pay by check to produce a document showing their full SSN. Is this fair?

Bush Visits Baghdad, Hails Passage of Agreements, Bids Farewell to Troops
President Bush paid a surprise visit to Iraq yesterday, where he praised lawmakers in Baghdad for passing the status of forces agreement with the United States and offered a farewell message of thanks to U.S. troops serving there.

‘Nothing like the Holidays’ Coming to Troops in Iraq and Kuwait
Overture Films, Paramount Pictures and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) are bringing a special gift to troops at Joint Base Balad, Iraq and Camp Arifijan, Kuwait as “Nothing Like the Holidays” will premiere at Reel Time Theaters on both installations on the same day as its U.S. opening.
